Art “Something for Everyone” – Steve Sumner – Week 3

Steve Sumner was born in 1959 in Southport, England, and is currently based in Hertfordshire, England.
A contemporary painter working primarily in oil and acrylic on canvas, Sumner is best known for his use of strong, bold colours in works that depict landscapes, florals, figurative subjects, and abstract compositions.

His paintings focus on bringing to life the everyday, capturing the shapes, colours, and beauty found in ordinary moments. Characterised by vibrant palettes and a dynamic visual language, Sumner’s work reflects a deep appreciation for the visual richness of the world around him. His artistic practice includes a number of notable series that highlight his evolving interpretation of form and colour.

Steve Sumner has exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions, including at St Albans Art Gallery (Group), Radlett Gallery (Solo), and OSD Watford (Solo), His work is held in various private national and international collections.
